Our legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention and service enhancement)
Data we collect includes: Full name, contact details, and identity verification documents (as provided during registration)
Booking information such as type of puja, time, location (if applicable), and payment details
Communications exchanged through the platform
Note: Priests must provide accurate and complete information during registration. False or misleading data may lead to suspension or removal from the platform.
2. Use of Personal Information
We use your personal information exclusively to:
Facilitate communication and bookings between Yajman and priests
Provide relevant updates and service-related notifications
Process payments, donations, and Dakshina
Ensure a respectful and secure virtual puja environment
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. Personal information may be shared only with trusted service providers (e.g., payment gateways) for operational purposes, and always under strict confidentiality.
3. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary to:
Fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy Comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations
4. Payments and Refunds
All payments for virtual services must be made through the app or platform-integrated payment gateways.
If a priest cancels due to unavoidable circumstances, or if a Yajman engages in misconduct or causes disruption, the booking may be cancelled without any liability to the Sangh.
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with our Refund Policy.
5. Nature of the Platform
Hindu Purohit Sangh is a charitable organization offering a digital platform to connect followers of the Hindu Dharma with priests for virtual and other spiritual services.
Apart from virtual pujas conducted via the app, the Sangh shall not be a party to any transaction, arrangement, or dispute between Yajmans and priests.
6. Conduct and Responsibilities
Yajman must ensure a clean and peaceful environment for the puja at their location.
If “with pooja materials” is selected during booking, the priest will bring the necessary items; otherwise, the Yajman must arrange them.
The method of performing the puja is to be determined by the priest in accordance with Hindu scriptures and the well-being of the Yajman.
Priests are expected to act in a selfless manner. Yajmans are encouraged to offer a fair Dakshina in support of the priest’s livelihood.
Any issues during the puja should be resolved mutually. The Sangh may mediate but bears no legal responsibility for dispute resolution.
7. Prohibited Activities
The platform must not be used for:Illegal, abusive, or fraudulent activities
Harassment, discrimination, or behaviour contrary to the values of the Sangh
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension, termination of access, and/or legal action.
8. Suspension and Removal
The Sangh reserves the right to suspend or remove any user—Yajman or priest—for: Misconduct or inappropriate behaviour
Violation of this Privacy Policy or Terms of Service
No prior notice is required for such action.
9. Data Security
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. Data is securely stored and accessible only to authorized personnel.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without verified parental or guardian consent.
