Main Objectives

To establish a strong, inclusive, accessible, and meaningful Purohit system, which also provides desired respect to the Purohit Class (Archaks, Mahajans, Brahmins and Pandits, Bhagat, Mahajan, Guru, Ojha, Granthi, Jain Muni, Baudh Bhikshu) in society. An arrangement in which the Purohit are accessible, qualified, and dedicated to Dharmik upliftment and happiness of the Yajman.

To work for continuous dialogue between the society and the priestly class and to establish a network between Purohit, Priests, temples, suppliers of Puja material, and the Public. To aspire for a worldwide organization of Purohit. Organize the Purohit of pilgrim places as well.

To make a multi-pronged strategy to enhance the role and the capabilities of this class.

Try to make this pious calling a viable option for a living. To give them training in yoga, meditation, astrology, Vastu Shastra, Katha Vaachan, etc. in addition to rites and rituals.

To establish training institutes for Purohit, priests, and apprentices and to create a systematic channel for consolidation of these professions.

Establishing a 'Purohit Research Institute' to standardize and contextualize the system. This institute will conduct research on topics such as Sanskars, Yagna, Homage rituals, worship rituals, aartis and so, on to make them contemporaneous.

To train the Purohit towards filling up vacancies in the country and abroad and to act as a link between the institutions with vacancies and the trained Purohits.

To make the priestly profession inclusive and try to connect and induct the deprived castes into this profession.

Induct and train women as Purohit and Priests.

To conduct 'Culture Classes' which will connect children with Sanatan Dharma. Such classes will be organized every Sunday between 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM in different regions. All this will be done through the initiative of the Purohits, Sadhus, temple priests and the common man. The syllabus and other details will be provided by our association.

To register more and more Purohit with the Hindu Purohit Sangh.

To establish communication between several organizations working for similar purposes, Removal of negative references for some castes and women in certain later scriptures. These are against Vedic Darshan and are interpolations. To bring out a book series and magazine containing the edition of Purohit Sangh.

To encourage Katha, Yagya, Ramlila, celebrations, Utsavs and observance of Tithees, etc., and to act like a pivot to make temples a happening places. Connecting temples with public interest work like donations, social service, health, etc.

Organize All India Conferences and camps of Purohits in which deliberations can be made on various subjects. Work for connecting temples with the public.

To organize 'Sandhya Satsang Milan', 'Maha Aarti' and 'Community Puja' programs to develop harmony and family spirit among all the Hindus. It will be held in various regions in the country and abroad with the participation of Purohits and community members. Such Community meetings will be organized in community centres, parks, temples, auditoriums, river banks or any other quiet place.

Establish a 'Purohit Charity Fund' to achieve the above objectives.
