-:    DUTIES OF YAJMAN    :-

  1. Practice Sanatan Dharma and instill these sanskars in other people and your children. It is your duty to perform the Karmkand (rituals and rituals) with full devotion, they will bring happiness and prosperity to your life. Some Karmakand and Sanskars are obligatory, so they should never be omitted. You should lead a Sattvik life on the day of karma. Decorate the house, make Rangoli, etc. and wear colorful traditional clothes during auspicious events. Stay away from pomp. The rituals are actually family celebrations and they also serve the purpose to unite the family and bring wisdom. The Purohit are the best deserving candidates for Daan-Dakshina. The Yajmaan and the Purohit are part of a large family.

  2. The Purohit has the right to adorn the throne of Ved Vyas. This is called Vyaas Peeth. It is the highest seat. A married householder Purohit is best placed to sit on this seat, and Brahmacharis can also sit in it, but not a Sannyasin. They should understand the resultant responsibility of this seat.

  3. Give Daan-Dakshina to the Purohit with large-heartedness and your capacity. So that they can make a living and support their family. The Purohit calling should be able to attract the next generation to the Purohithood. Respect for the Purohit is paramount. The Purohit are the carriers of the divine Vedic traditions. Never tolerate ridicule of Purohit and their work.

  4. You should never resort to worship through online video conferencing or recording. The physical presence of the Purohit is mandatory in any Karmkand.

  5. The host should not resort to a Tantric rather adopts a Saattvik puja with Veda mantras. Know about the qualifications of the Purohit. It is not possible for any Purohit to master all forms of Puja. Where a scholar of Vedas and Sanskrit is needed for delivering Bhagwat Katha, anyone can recite Satya Narayan Katha. Upanayana and marriage ceremonies are also a bit difficult for a novice. So as far as possible, choose a Purohit through 'Hindu Purohit Sangh', we have the database of our Purohit.

  6. Karma and Sanskar are based on very esoteric Darshan. This is the gift of Vedas and sages, so take them seriously.

  7. Maintain the sacredness of the temple and Teerth -Teerth Kshetra Kritam Papam, Vajralepo Bhavishyati | (Sins committed in other areas are destroyed by visiting the shrine and temple, but the sin committed deliberately in the temple and pilgrim centres sticks like a paste of thunder) .
